About The Position
Companions & Homemakers is seeking compassionate and dependable individuals to provide non-medical home care to seniors across Connecticut. For over 35 years, we have been a trusted name in home care, treating our caregivers like family. This role involves following individualized Plans of Care, assisting clients with daily living activities, providing companionship, and performing light housekeeping and errands. We offer flexible scheduling, competitive pay, and ongoing training.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable vehicle
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Open availability preferred
Nice To Haves
- Experience as a Caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, or Companion is a plus
Responsibilities
- Provide non-medical home care following each client's individualized Plan of Care
- Transport clients to appointments and activities
- Help with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping
- Assist with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care
- Be a steady, caring presence — offering companionship and emotional support
- Document care and provide reminders as directed
