About The Position
Senior Helpers is seeking committed, caring, and qualified CNAs and Home Health Aides to assist our growing number of clients with personal, in-home care. Home Health Aides at Senior Helpers provide personal care services for our clients that enable them to safely and comfortably remain in their homes.
Requirements
- Previous professional experience (with an agency or a care facility) providing personal care services.
- Valid driver’s license or government-issued photo ID
- Clear Level 2 Background Screen from the State of Florida Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA).
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have an active CPR certification form an in-person, hands-on course.
- Reliable transportation to and from shifts
- Excellent communication skills with a kind, caring and compassionate demeanor
Responsibilities
- Companionship (playing games, talking, going for walks)
- Light housekeeping, including laundry
- Meal planning and preparation
- Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as showering, eating, and grooming
- Transfer assistance between bed, chairs, wheelchairs, etc.
- Transportation to appointments and errands
- Medication reminders
