About The Position

Assisting Hands Central Milwaukee is seeking compassionate, dependable, and dedicated Caregivers to provide high-quality in-home care to seniors and adults who need assistance with daily living activities. Requirements

Previous caregiving experience is preferred but not required
Valid driver's license and reliable, insured vehicle required
Comfortable providing care for clients with varying levels of care needs
Comfortable working in homes with cats and dogs
Comfortable working with clients who smoke
Reliable, punctual, compassionate, and committed to providing excellent care
Able to follow a care plan and communicate effectively

Nice To Haves

Experience using Hoyer lifts and other transfer devices is preferred; training may be provided based on assignment

Responsibilities

Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
Offer companionship and emotional support
Prepare meals and assist with meal planning
Perform light housekeeping tasks
Provide medication reminders
Safely assist with transfers using Hoyer lifts and other mobility/transfer devices, when needed
Provide transportation to appointments, errands, and community activities
Help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment
