About The Position

Haven Home Care is seeking Caregivers in Summit County, Ohio, for school-hour shifts. This role involves assisting individuals, primarily older adults, in their homes with daily tasks such as bathing, dressing, meal preparation, light cleaning, errands, and companionship. The work is physical, requiring caregivers to be on their feet and assist clients with mobility. This position does not involve administering medication or performing medical tasks. The company offers free training and does not require prior experience. They emphasize a flexible schedule that fits the caregiver's availability, with most shifts occurring between 8 AM and 5 PM, and no overnights are ever required. Client matching is based on the caregiver's specified availability and preferences.

Requirements

  • Driver's license.
  • Own car with insurance that covers work driving.
  • Pass background checks.
  • Work at least 20 hours/week.
  • Available between 6 AM-8 PM (caregiver sets their window).
  • Legal right to work in the US.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • STNA license (active or expired) qualifies for higher pay and skips testing.
  • HHA certificate (30+ hours, RN-signed unless online) qualifies for higher pay and requires a shorter training period.
  • 1+ year of experience at one company under an RN or LPN qualifies for higher pay and requires a shorter training period.
  • No experience required; free 32-hour online training is provided.
  • Ability to attend a phone interview.
  • Ability to complete a short online questionnaire.
  • Ability to pass a written and skills test (if applicable, HHA).
  • Ability to sign paperwork online.
  • Ability to complete online orientation and document check.
  • Ability to complete fingerprinting.
  • Commitment to showing up for scheduled shifts; attendance is part of raise criteria.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with bathing and getting dressed.
  • Prepare meals for clients.
  • Perform light cleaning in clients' homes.
  • Run errands for clients.
  • Provide companionship to clients.
  • Assist clients with moving around.
  • Attend to clients' needs during assigned shifts.
