The Caregiver assists with the day-to-day operations of the group home, focusing on consumer rights, personal cares, daily living activities, and regulatory compliance. No experience or certifications are needed, and they are hiring immediately.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/equivalent and/or related work/life experience.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Valid WI driver’s license and ability to meet agency driving standards.
  • Proof of auto insurance.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Customer Service Oriented.
  • Comfortable using mobility devices and practicing safe transfer and ambulation techniques.
  • Pass a periodic WI Caregiver Background Check including Department of Justice Criminal Record Checks, and/or that of previous states of residence.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct care support to members with disabilities by assisting with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene, as outlined by the individual service plan.
  • Comfortably uses mobility devices and practices safe transfer and ambulation techniques.
  • Teaches and guides members in achieving their hopes, dreams, goals, and objectives through self-direction, decision-making, and goal-setting.
  • Completes all applicable documentation related to assigned tasks.
  • Maintains a safe, sanitary, and welcoming group home by performing housekeeping duties such as vacuuming, emptying trash, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, making beds, and changing linens.
  • Prepares and serves meals, following general nutritional guidelines, menus, and individual dietary restrictions, needs, and preferences.
  • Assists, escorts, and provides physical and other types of assistance needed by members during social and recreational activities.
