About The Position

Mentor Community Services, a part of the Sevita family, provides community-based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role of a Caregiver at Sevita involves helping people grow, learn, and live well by developing meaningful relationships with the individuals served. Caregivers are expected to take initiative in helping participants engage with the community and enjoy activities. They support participants with developmental goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition, and assist with personal hygiene. The role also involves supporting individuals who may have behavioral challenges and other complex needs. Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Skills: Communication, adaptability, multi-tasking, teamwork, time-management
• Behaviors: Patient, compassionate, reliable, responsible
• Vehicle: Valid Driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance

Nice To Haves

• Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred
