About The Position

Griswold Care for the Greater Twin Cities is seeking compassionate individuals to join their team as part-time Caregivers in the Elk River area. This role involves providing non-medical elderly care and home companionship, assisting seniors with daily tasks to help them live as fully and independently as possible in their own homes. The position offers flexible hours and opportunities to work day and night shifts, with client care needs ranging from 4 hours to 24 hours. Responsibilities include assisting with personal hygiene, bathing, feeding, meal preparation, grocery shopping, laundry, and providing companionship, especially to those with dementia or cognitive impairments. The role requires maintaining client dignity, completing shift documentation, and communicating client needs to the office.

Requirements

Reliable transportation
Current valid driver's license
18 years of age
Willing to travel up to 25 miles

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
2+ years of home care experience (caring for a loved one counts).

Responsibilities

Provide non-medical elderly care and home companionship.
Assist clients with personal hygiene, bathing, and feeding.
Help with daily tasks such as laundry, grocery shopping, and meal preparation.
Provide companionship to clients, including those with dementia or cognitive impairments.
Ensure clients maintain dignity and receive high-quality care.
Complete documentation for each shift and submit timely updates.
Communicate routinely with the office about client condition and needs.
