About The Position

Home Instead is looking for a compassionate Care Professional to join our team and provide meaningful one-on-one care to a client in the St. George area. This is an opportunity to build a trusting relationship with a client, provide companionship and support, and help make each day a little easier and more enjoyable. The client uses a wheelchair for all mobility and does not walk independently. She is able to stand and pivot with assistance for short periods of time and needs hands-on support during transfers and standing activities. Experience with wheelchair transfers, gait belts, or higher-level personal care is helpful, but we are looking for someone who is reliable, patient, willing to learn, and comfortable following a care plan.

• Is dependable and takes scheduled shifts seriously
• Is comfortable providing hands-on personal care
• Can safely assist with transfers and mobility
• Communicates well with the client, family, and office team
• Is patient and attentive to safety
• Enjoys making a genuine difference in someone's day

Nice To Haves

• Prior caregiving experience is preferred
• Experience with wheelchair transfers, gait belts, or higher-level personal care is helpful

Responsibilities

• Wheelchair mobility and safe transfers
• Toileting, personal care, and incontinence care
• Bathing and dressing assistance
• Meal preparation and assistance
• Medication reminders
• Light exercises and activities
• PureWick-related care
• Light household tasks
• Companionship and conversation
• Watching for changes in condition and communicating concerns
