About The Position
This is a heartwarming opportunity for compassionate providers who love making a difference! We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible. A unique opportunity awaits you! We are currently seeking a patient, dependable, and trustworthy individual to accompany a man with special needs on a trip to visit his family for an extended weekend from Madison, WI to Buffalo, NY. This trip has not been booked yet, as we are looking for the right person to tag along! This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable with travel, is skilled in caregiving, and loves adventure. This opportunity could become a permanent position for the individual while he is home.
Requirements
- Prior experience with skilled caregiving required
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
Nice To Haves
- Valid driver’s license preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide needed assistance throughout the trip
- Assist with transfers
- Meal prep/Set up
- Support with dressing and toileting as needed
- Assist with medications/reminders when required
- Outings
- Ensure safety, comfort, and companionship throughout the trip
