About The Position

Companions Forever is hiring a Caregiver in Hamden, with service areas across Connecticut. The role provides non-medical home care according to each client’s individualized Plan of Care. Shifts are flexible and may include weekdays, weekends, awake overnights, and live-in assignments.

Caregivers support clients with transportation, household tasks, personal care, companionship, and reminders, and document care provided. Companions Forever provides ongoing online and in-person training. The company has delivered non-medical home care services across Connecticut for over three decades.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and a reliable vehicle.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Open availability is preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Experience as a Caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, or Companion.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical home care according to each client’s individualized Plan of Care.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities.
• Assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, errands, and grocery shopping.
• Assist clients with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care.
• Offer companionship and emotional support.
• Document care and provide reminders as directed.
