Caregiver – Parsippany, NJ
About The Position
A family in Parsippany, New Jersey, is seeking a warm and attentive caregiver to provide non-medical care and companionship for an older adult. The position is in a smoke-free, pet-free home where the family values compassionate care, engaging conversation, and support with daily routines. The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., totaling 16 hours per week. The start date is as soon as possible. Compensation is $20–$30 per hour. Candidates must pass a background check and provide proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. This is a private, family-hired position; caregivers are hired directly by the family and are not employed by Wellthy.
Requirements
- Proven experience in senior care or personal caregiving.
- Ability to safely assist with light mobility and transfers.
- Strong meal preparation and cooking skills.
- Proof of legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Successful completion of a background check.
Responsibilities
- Assist with personal hygiene and daily grooming routines.
- Provide light mobility and transfer assistance.
- Give medication reminders.
- Plan and prepare nutritious meals.
- Provide companionship and engage the care recipient in recreational activities, including puzzles, games, crafts, and movies.
- Complete basic household tasks and light tidying related to the care recipient.
