About The Position

Senior Helpers is seeking committed, caring and qualified CNA's, Home Health Aides and Caregivers to support our growing number of clients with personal, in-home care. Home Health Aides, Caregivers and CNA's for part time and full time positions at Senior Helpers in the Daytona Beach area. Senior Helpers Caregivers provide personal care services for our clients that enable them to safely and comfortably remain in their homes. Caregiver duties include helping clients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, eating, grooming and toileting.

Requirements

Previous experience with providing personal care, specifically for a private-duty home care agency or in a care facility
Valid driver’s license or government-issued photo ID
Clear Level 2 Background Screen from the State of Florida Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA).
Must be at least 18 years of age
Active CPR certification from an in-person, hands-on CPR course (not online only) that meets American Heart Association standards
Reliable transportation to and from shifts
Excellent communication skills with a kind, caring and compassionate demeanor
MUST BE COMFORTABLE IN CLIENT'S HOME THAT SMOKES AND HAS SMALL DOGS

Nice To Haves

MUST BE ABLE TO ASSIST WITH A HEAVY TRANSFER

Responsibilities

Companionship (playing games, talking, going for walks)
Light housekeeping, including laundry
Meal planning and preparation
Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as showering, eating, and grooming
Transfer assistance between bed, chairs, wheelchairs, etc.
Transportation to appointments and errands
Medication reminders
