About The Position

At Senior Helpers, caregiving is more than a job — it’s a chance to brighten someone’s day and truly make a difference. We are hiring for part-time roles with weekday, weekend, daytime, and evening shifts. We’ll work with your schedule! We are looking for a caregiver who can occasionally take shifts with a client who has several exotic pets. You will not have to handle them, but you must be ok with them being in the home and possibly be handled by their owner in your presence. Senior Helpers provides non-medical, in-home support that helps seniors maintain dignity and independence. Our caregivers assist with personal care, companionship, respite care, dementia and Alzheimer’s support, Parkinson’s care, and transitional care after hospital or rehab stays. Whether you’re experienced or just getting started, you’ll be part of a mission-driven team dedicated to bringing comfort, connection, and joy to the lives of others.

Requirements

Ability to follow care plans and work independently
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Reliable transportation and punctuality
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Valid driver’s license
Basic smartphone/app skills
Current TB test (within the past year)
Must be comfortable with ALL types of animals! (Dogs, cats, reptiles, and arachnids)
Must be ok with exotic pets being in the home and possibly be handled by their owner in your presence.
