Requirements

• Knowledge of infection control and universal precautions.
• Ability to observe and communicate changes in resident physical or mental status.
• Mature behavior and attitude in speech and action.
• Pleasant demeanor and tone of voice.
• Support for the mission statement and approach to care.
• Acceptable attendance record.
• Adherence to personnel policies regarding lateness or absence.
• Follows assigned work schedule.

Responsibilities

• Assists with activities of daily living, environmental orientation, and other care as needed.
• Provides laundry and housekeeping services to residents as assigned.
• Demonstrates knowledge of infection control and universal precautions.
• Observes any changes in resident physical or mental status and communicates changes appropriately.
• Displays mature behavior and attitude in speech and action; demonstrates consistently pleasant demeanor, tone of voice, supports the mission statement and approach to care used by the community.
• Maintains an acceptable attendance record; notifies supervisor if late or unable to work in accordance with personnel polices; follows the assigned work schedule.
