About The Position

Every day, someone in Frederick County needs help getting through their morning, keeping their home in order, or simply having someone to talk to. Griswold Home Care for Frederick County is looking for people who show up, who care, and who want work that actually means something. We're hiring part-time Caregivers, PCAs, and CNAs across Frederick County to provide personal care, companionship, and homemaking support to older adults who want to keep living life on their own terms. No two days look exactly alike, but the heart of the work stays the same. You might start your morning helping a client get bathed, dressed, and ready for the day, then move into light housekeeping or preparing a meal they'll actually look forward to eating. Some afternoons you're running errands or driving a client to a doctor's appointment; others you're simply sitting, talking, playing cards, or just being present. For clients managing memory loss or cognitive changes, your patience and steady presence make all the difference — a familiar face, a calm voice, a little extra time. You keep the office updated on how things are going, so care stays consistent and nothing slips through the cracks. And at the end of the day, you walk away knowing you made someone's day easier, safer, or just a little brighter.

Requirements

Caring, dependable, and ready to show up for people who need it.
CPR Certification required.
TB Clearance per CDC guidance and Maryland RSA regulations.
Valid driver's license and a reliable personal vehicle with current insurance and registration.
Willingness to travel throughout Frederick County.
Must pass a criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

CNA certification is a plus, but not required.
Caregiving or home care experience preferred.
High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care, companionship, and homemaking support to older adults.
Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and getting ready for the day.
Perform light housekeeping duties.
Prepare meals for clients.
Run errands for clients.
Drive clients to appointments.
Provide companionship and engage in activities with clients.
Offer patience and a steady presence for clients managing memory loss or cognitive changes.
Keep the office updated on client status and care consistency.
