About The Position
Griswold Care for the Greater Twin Cities is seeking compassionate individuals to join their team as a part-time Caregiver in the Elk River area. This role involves providing non-medical elderly care and home companionship, assisting seniors in maintaining their quality of life while remaining in their homes. Responsibilities include helping with laundry, grocery shopping, meal preparation, personal hygiene, bathing, feeding, and providing companionship, especially to those with dementia or cognitive impairments. The position requires careful documentation and communication with the office regarding client needs and conditions.
Requirements
- Reliable transportation
- Current valid driver's license
- 18 years of age
- Willing to travel up to 25 miles
Nice To Haves
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- 2+ years of home care experience would be a plus; caring for a loved one counts.
- Willing to train
Responsibilities
- Provide non-medical elderly care and home companionship.
- Assist with laundry, grocery shopping, and meal preparation.
- Help clients maintain proper personal hygiene, including bathing and feeding.
- Provide companionship to clients, including those with dementia or cognitive impairments.
- Complete documentation for each shift and submit timely updates.
- Communicate routinely with the office about client condition and needs.
