About The Position

Senior Helpers is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and upbeat Caregiver to support a senior client in Newport Beach, CA. This is a hands-on role for someone comfortable assisting with both ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) and IADLs (Instrumental Activities of Daily Living), who brings warmth, patience, and a positive attitude to every shift. Senior Helpers believes aging should be met with dignity, comfort, and joy, and their mission is to provide high-quality, dependable in-home care that helps seniors live safely and independently. They specialize in personalized care plans and building meaningful connections.

Requirements

  • Compassionate, patient, and passionate about helping seniors
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance
  • Physically able to assist with transfers and mobility
  • Ability to push/pull up to 50 lbs and lift up to 30 lbs
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening
  • Willing to work flexible shifts, including some weekends
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High school diploma or GED required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience caring for seniors or in a similar role
  • Comfortable assisting with full-spectrum care (ADLs + IADLs)
  • Kind, patient, and dependable personality
  • Ability to follow care plans and communicate clearly
  • Valid driver’s license (preferred)
  • CPR, First Aid, CNA or HHA certification
  • Enjoy coastal walks, light activities, or games
  • Bring a great sense of humor

Responsibilities

  • Personal hygiene (bathing, grooming, dressing)
  • Mobility support & safe transfers
  • Toileting & incontinence care
  • Meal assistance and feeding (if needed)
  • Light housekeeping & laundry
  • Meal prep & grocery shopping
  • Medication reminders
  • Transportation to appointments or errands
  • Companionship (conversation, walks, activities!)
