About The Position
Dignity Care is seeking warm-hearted people as Caregivers to provide care to senior/elderly clients. We assist our clients with activities of daily living at the client's home or nursing home and help them maintain quality of life. We are currently looking to fill shifts in Lafayette!
Requirements
- Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations
- Reliable transportation (required)
- Clean CAPS background check (required)
- At least 18 years old (required)
Nice To Haves
- Limited caregiving experience is acceptable as paid training is provided for all job duties.
- Enjoys working in a one-on-one setting
- Is eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
- Has good oral and written English
- Has excellent phone and communication skills
- Has experience working in the home health industry
- Dependable - more reliable than spontaneous
- People-oriented - enjoys interacting with people and working on group projects
- Adaptable/flexible - enjoys doing work that requires frequent shifts in direction
- Seeking stable and long-term employment
Responsibilities
- Assisting with personal hygiene, activities of daily living, and medication reminding
- Meal preparation
- Light housekeeping, laundry, and organizing
- Run errands and transportation
- Companionship
- Transfers and assisting client with walking
