About The Position
The Caregiver supports adults in an adult day program, helping them work toward personal and developmental goals and participate in community life. The role involves building trusting relationships as a mentor, advocate, and friend, while assisting with daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication administration, personal care, and outings. Caregivers promote inclusion and support individuals in enjoying community activities and events. No prior experience is required; paid training is provided.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license held for at least one year.
- Clean driving record.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Successful clearance of background checks.
Responsibilities
- Support individuals in reaching personal and developmental goals, including budgeting and nutrition.
- Build trusting relationships as a mentor, advocate, and friend.
- Take initiative and contribute ideas and dedication to the role.
- Assist with meal preparation, medication administration, personal care, and outings.
- Help individuals engage with their communities and participate in activities and events.
