About The Position
Visiting Angels of Reading is seeking a dedicated Caregiver to serve clients in and around Berks and Northern Chester County. We offer both part-time and full-time positions with flexible shifts including day, evening, and overnight options. This role is ideal for individuals who are reliable, professional, and genuinely enjoy assisting others. We are committed to a drug-free environment and conduct thorough background checks and reference verifications.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 6 months experience in caring for Seniors and/or Disabled Adults professionally or personally
- Reliable transportation
- Reliability and Professionalism
- Must enjoy assisting in the needs of others
Nice To Haves
- Dementia/Alzheimer's experience
- CNA certification
Responsibilities
- Assisting clients with personal care services such as oral care, bathing, toileting, dressing, and grooming
- Medication reminders
- Light housekeeping including laundry, dishes and vacuuming
- Planning, preparing and serving meals
- Assistance with transfers, walking and physical activity
- Assistance with transportation to appointments, activities, errands, and shopping
- Providing companionship and cheerful, positive assistance at all times
