About The Position

Right at Home is looking for dependable, compassionate caregivers who are confident assisting clients with daily care while helping them remain safe, comfortable, and supported at home. We are seeking caregivers with hands-on experience who are comfortable with personal care, transfers, mobility assistance, dementia care, companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and providing thoughtful support based on each client’s needs. Your experience matters, and we want to place you with clients where your skills can truly shine. Right at Home provides outstanding care and we are a leader in the home care industry. We serve the towns of Englewood, Boca Grande, Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda, and limited zip codes in North Port and Arcadia.

Requirements

• 18+ years of age
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job
• A valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance
• High school diploma or GED
• Must pass drug screening
• Pass a full employment background check

Nice To Haves

• Hands-on experience as a caregiver
• Comfortable with personal care, transfers, and mobility assistance
• Experience with dementia care
• Experience with meal preparation and light housekeeping

Responsibilities

• Assisting clients with eating, personal hygiene, dressing, and shaving.
• Helping with light housekeeping, laundry, and other household chores.
• Preparing meals.
• Providing medication reminders.
• Guiding clients through prescribed range of motion exercises.
• Providing dementia care.
• Engaging in companionship activities such as reading, music, and puzzles.
