Requirements

  • Lives in or near Hawthorne
  • Has at least 1 year of experience providing support or care to individuals in need (children, adults, or older adults).
  • Experience with caregiving, personal care, companion care, or roles such as Caregiver, DSP, Home Health Aide, or similar.
  • Dependable, consistent, and someone families and clients can rely on.
  • Holds current CPR/First Aid certification, or is willing to obtain it.
  • Comfortable providing hands‑on personal care when needed.
  • Has reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in an Asian language (e.g., Mandarin, Cantonese, or similar) preferred.
  • Experience with behavioral support or developmental disabilities is a plus, but not required.
  • Previous caregiving experience is preferred, but we’re open to training the right compassionate person.

Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive 1:1 support to meet each client’s unique needs.
  • Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and routine care.
  • Support clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and safe mobility.
  • Offer companionship, meaningful engagement, and emotional encouragement.
  • Participate in community activities, social outings, and recreational events.
  • Assist with transportation when needed to errands, appointments, or activities.
  • Document brief, accurate care notes and share updates with the care team.
  • Accompany clients to medical appointments or social events, ensuring safe travel.
  • Observe and report any changes in health, behavior, or overall well-being.
