About The Position
Sigma HomeCare is hiring compassionate Direct Care Workers / Caregivers to support adults in Wayne County, Michigan. If you enjoy helping others maintain their independence and want meaningful work with a flexible schedule, we'd love to meet you.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Smartphone with internet access
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and reliably
Nice To Haves
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain through agency)
- Experience in caregiving, home care, direct support, behavioral health, or healthcare preferred
Responsibilities
- Assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility support)
- Meal preparation and light housekeeping
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Supporting clients with behavioral health and developmental needs
- Transporting clients to appointments, errands, and community outings
- Documenting services accurately using a mobile app
- Communicating with the care team regarding updates or concerns
