About The Position

Always Best Care Chicagoland is hiring compassionate caregivers to provide non-medical home care that helps seniors remain safe and independent in their homes. Caregivers make a meaningful difference in clients’ lives by delivering respectful, reliable care and following each client’s care plan. The agency serves DuPage, Will, and Cook Counties, and this position is in person in Palos Park, Illinois. Training is provided. The role may be full-time or part-time, with flexible working hours.

Requirements

At least one year of caregiving or home-care experience.
Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
Knowledge of housekeeping and cooking, including attention to dietary constraints.
Respectful and compassionate manner with good bedside manner.
Strong communication, time-management, and interpersonal skills.
Valid driver’s license.
Physical endurance to complete required tasks.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to work in the USA.
Must be very reliable.

Responsibilities

Provide medication reminders.
Assist clients with ambulation and mobility at home and outside, including attending appointments and walks.
Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises.
Shop for clients or accompany them while shopping when needed.
Perform light housekeeping tasks clients cannot complete themselves, including meal preparation.
Report unusual incidents to the Care Coordinator.
Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
Follow the client’s care plan.
