About The Position
John Knox @ Home is seeking experienced caregivers to join their Home Care team. Caregivers will provide companionship and assistance to clients in the river region, with services potentially offered in clients' homes, senior communities, or hospitals. The role emphasizes providing quality care and personal assistance, distinguishing it from simple sitting services. The organization is a non-profit subsidiary of John Knox Manor, Inc., dedicated to faith-based senior care in the Montgomery Area for over 50 years.
Requirements
- Must be able to complete a Criminal Background report and Drug Screening.
- Must have a valid driver's license and be able to drive clients' cars.
- Good communication skills and able to converse with clients.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
- Prepare meals.
- Perform light housekeeping.
- Provide personal assistance with general living needs, including toileting, bathing, feeding, and grooming.
- Provide companionship and conversation by stimulating, encouraging, and assisting an individual.
