Caregiver
About The Position
ComForCare Home Care is currently looking for a caregiver for an Elderly Woman with Hypertension. The role involves providing hands-on assistance with safety supervision while standing and fall prevention, partial hands-on assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADL's) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADL's), encouraging exercise, medication reminders, light housekeeping, meal prepping, companionship, and meaningful engagement. Caregivers also provide personal care, ambulation/transfers, and transportation. The agency owners and office staff have over 55 years of caregiving experience and focus on supporting caregivers and building strong client-caregiver relationships.
Requirements
- 18 years or older
- At least 1 year direct hands-on caregiver experience (family counts!)
- A good driver with reliable transportation and valid driver's license
- Completes a negative drug screening (including for THC) and clean background check (no criminal convictions)
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on assistance with safety supervision while standing and fall prevention
- Provide partial hands-on assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADL's) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADL's)
- Encourage exercise
- Provide medication reminders
- Perform light housekeeping
- Perform meal prepping
- Provide companionship and meaningful engagement
- Provide personal care
- Assist with ambulation/transfers
- Provide transportation
