Requirements
- Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation
- Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screening
- Minimum of 2 years of caregiving experience
- Willingness to travel within a 20-mile radius of your home address
- Ability and willingness to work with both male and female clients
- Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
- Compassionate, dependable, and supportive demeanor
Responsibilities
- Providing companionship and emotional support to elderly clients in their homes
- Assisting with personal care, including bathing, showering, toileting, and dressing
- Reminding clients to take prescribed medications
- Assisting with mobility inside and outside the home, including walking and appointments
- Planning and preparing meals
- Completing grocery shopping or accompanying clients as needed
- Performing light housekeeping duties
- Observing, reporting, and responding appropriately to changes in condition or emergencies
- Encouraging and assisting with activities essential to daily living
