Part Time Caregiver (PM)

About The Position

Silverado Alexandria is hiring a part-time Caregiver to provide hands-on support to residents living with Alzheimer’s, dementia, and other memory-impairing conditions. The role focuses on compassionate care, reliability, relationship-building, and helping residents live with dignity and joy in a safe, respectful, and engaging environment. The schedule is Sunday, Monday, Friday, and Saturday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The anticipated pay range is $19–$22 USD. Employment offers are contingent on a background check, drug screening, physical, and TB testing if applicable. Silverado uses E-Verify to confirm work authorization.

Requirements

A high school diploma, GED, or educational equivalent is preferred.
Reliable transportation to meet attendance and punctuality standards.
Effective verbal and written communication in English.
Ability to walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Comfort working around animals and pets.

Nice To Haves

Experience caring for individuals with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or other debilitating conditions is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and dining.
Build meaningful relationships with residents, families, and fellow team members.
Support residents with memory impairments in a safe, respectful, and engaging environment.
Maintain accurate care records and report changes to the nursing team.
