About The Position
CareCo Home Care is currently seeking an experienced caregiver in the Stonington and Groton, Connecticut areas for an ongoing case Thursday through Sunday. We are looking for a compassionate, dependable caregiver who is comfortable assisting with transfers and mobility support using a Hoyer lift. At CareCo, we believe caregiving is more than a job — it's an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in someone's daily life through one-on-one care and support.
Requirements
- Hoyer lift experience required
- Reliable, punctual, and compassionate
- Comfortable working independently in a client's home
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to follow care plans and instructions
Nice To Haves
- CNA certification or prior home care experience
Responsibilities
- Assisting with daily routines and personal care
- Safe transfers using a Hoyer lift
- Mobility and positioning assistance
- Toileting and hygiene support
- Meal preparation and feeding assistance as needed
- Light housekeeping
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Communicating updates with the CareCo team
