Requirements

Prior experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes
Knowledge of first aid, CPR
Ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer’s/dementia, or memory care needs
Strong patient observation skills to monitor health status and respond appropriately
Capable of heavy lifting and physical activity necessary for assisting clients with mobility or transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts
Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Responsibilities

Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts if necessary
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding if required
Medication reminders following prescribed care plans and document all medication administration accurately
Support clients during outings or community activities to promote independence and social engagement
Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks, including cleaning and laundry
