About The Position

Right at Home is seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide support and assistance to individuals in the place the senior calls home. The role focuses on improving seniors’ quality of life through personalized care that promotes safety, comfort, and dignity. Caregivers assist with daily activities and health management, provide companionship and emotional support, and help foster independence. The position may involve supporting individuals with dementia or Alzheimer’s, preparing meals according to dietary needs, light housekeeping, documenting care, and assisting with transportation. Caregivers are expected to follow safety procedures and participate in ongoing training.

Requirements

• Ability to work compassionately with individuals with disabilities of any kind.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
• Ability to handle physically demanding tasks, such as lifting with Hoyer lifts or assisting with mobility.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and respecting resident privacy.

• Valid driver’s license for transportation duties is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being.
• Support seniors with dementia or Alzheimer’s by implementing specialized memory care techniques.
• Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely and effectively.
• Prepare meals tailored to individual dietary needs.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment through light housekeeping and sanitation tasks.
• Document care activities accurately using Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) systems.
• Assist with transportation or drive clients to appointments or activities as needed.
• Follow safety procedures, including first aid protocols and emergency response plans.
• Engage in ongoing training related to caregiving best practices, behavior management, and long-term care standards.
