About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and reliable caregiver to support a client who lives in a private studio attached to his sister’s home. This unique setup allows him to maintain independence while having support nearby when needed. The ideal candidate will provide consistent, attentive care while respecting the client’s autonomy and personal space. About the Client: The client thrives in a calm, structured environment where routines are predictable and consistent. His primary goals are to remain safe, comfortable, and as independent as possible. He values caregivers who encourage independence while offering support when needed.

Requirements

• Experience in caregiving, home care, or related field preferred
• Patient, attentive, and able to work in a calm and structured environment
• Ability to follow routines and provide consistent care
• Comfortable assisting with mobility support
• Reliable, responsive, and able to provide overnight assistance if needed
• 2 forms of ID (Background check)
• CPR & First Aid
• TB Vaccine (within the last 2years)

• Understands the importance of balancing independence with support
• Does not rush tasks and allows the client time to move safely
• Communicates clearly and responds promptly to client needs
• Provides reassurance and creates a secure, supportive environment

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities, including hygiene, meals, and medication reminders
• Support and encourage independence while providing hands-on assistance when necessary
• Provide mobility support (client uses a walker; may require standby or hands-on assistance)
• Ensure a safe environment and follow established routines
• Respond promptly to calls for assistance, including overnight support
• Build a respectful, supportive, and patient-centered relationship
