About The Position

Always Best Care Chicagoland is hiring compassionate caregivers to provide non-medical home care and help seniors remain safe and independent in their homes. Caregivers support clients with daily activities and follow their care plans. The position is based in Downers Grove, Illinois, and work is performed in person. Full-time, part-time, and live-in schedules are available. Paid training is provided.

Requirements

• At least one year of caregiving or home care experience.
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
• Knowledge of housekeeping and cooking, with attention to dietary constraints.
• Respectful and compassionate manner and good bedside manner.
• Strong communication, time-management, and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Physical endurance to complete required tasks.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to work in the USA.
• Must be very reliable.

Responsibilities

• Provide medication reminders.
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility at home and outside, including on walks and at doctor’s appointments.
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises.
• Shop for clients or accompany them while shopping as needed.
• Perform light housekeeping that clients cannot complete themselves, including meal preparation.
• Report unusual incidents to the Care Coordinator.
• Respond promptly and responsibly in emergencies.
• Follow the client’s care plan.
