About The Position

Allegro Fort Lauderdale, a premier senior living community, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Caregiver (Resident Assistant) to join their Assisted Living team. This role is for a seasoned caregiver who is passionate about senior care, brings consistency and compassion to every shift, and is ready to make a difference in a large, vibrant community. The primary responsibility is to provide resident care services as scheduled, under the supervision of the Resident Services Director (RSD) in Assisted Living areas, maintaining a positive physical and social environment. This includes assisting residents with daily living activities, maintaining accurate documentation, and promoting a safe environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in an Assisted Living Facility — required
  • CPR and First Aid certification — required
  • Minimum of 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum one (1) year related health care experience required.
  • Must have a positive Criminal Background Screening.
  • Adherence to the Company Drug Free Workplace policy.

Nice To Haves

  • Experienced caregivers wanted.
  • Every other weekend availability required.
  • In any Community with an Ensemble Program, applicant must successfully complete required dementia training.
  • Certification in CPR and first aid preferred or as required by the state.
  • May be a Licensed or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Nursing Assistant (NA) depending on the state requirements, if licensed or certified must be in good standing with the state licensing or certifying agency.
  • Previous experience with computerized resident documentation systems a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, person-centered care to residents across the Assisted Living community.
  • Assist residents with daily living activities — bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and more.
  • Build meaningful relationships with residents and families.
  • Monitor resident well-being and communicate changes to the care team promptly.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow individualized care plans.
  • Support a safe, clean, and welcoming environment throughout every shift.
  • Approach all encounters with residents and associates in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
  • Keep proper records of care including a resident service plan and documenting services provided.
  • Be familiar with resident service plan and document all service provided.
  • Work closely and maintain daily communications with the Resident Services associates so that a continuity of care and services is maintained for the residents.
  • Promote a safe environment for residents, associates, and visitors.
  • Support the programming and operations of the neighborhood.
