About The Position

SAFE HOMECARE is seeking a highly reliable and driven Caregiver Recruiter & Staffing Coordinator to support our San Antonio office. This role is responsible for recruiting top-quality caregivers while also assisting with scheduling, on-call coverage, and ensuring shifts are filled.

This is a fast-paced, mission-driven role that requires urgency, strong communication skills, and a willingness to step in and solve problems when they arise.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in healthcare, home care, or staffing
• Prior recruiting or scheduling experience
• Caregiving experience strongly preferred
• Comfortable working evenings or weekends when needed

Responsibilities

• Source, screen, and interview caregiver candidates
• Manage applicants through Indeed and internal systems
• Conduct phone screens and schedule interviews
• Ensure a consistent pipeline of qualified caregivers
• Maintain communication with candidates throughout the hiring process
• Assist with caregiver scheduling and shift coverage
• Help fill open shifts, including urgent same-day needs
• Communicate with caregivers to confirm availability and assignments
• Support the scheduling team to ensure all client needs are met
• Participate in on-call rotation (evenings, nights, and weekends as needed)
• Answer incoming calls from caregivers and clients
• Troubleshoot call-offs and ensure shifts are covered
• Make outbound calls to secure coverage quickly
• Occasionally fill in for shifts if coverage cannot be secured
• Provide hands-on support to ensure continuity of care
