About The Position

This position involves assisting residents with daily living activities, monitoring their well-being, and providing companionship and support. The role requires maintaining a safe and clean environment, documenting care, and adhering to facility policies. The shift is 7 AM to 3 PM, and the caregiver is expected to work every other weekend.

Requirements

Ability to assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs).
Skill in monitoring residents' physical and emotional well-being.
Proficiency in taking and recording vital signs.
Knowledge of proper body mechanics and mobility equipment for resident transfers and ambulation.
Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment.
Competence in providing companionship and emotional support.
Experience in documenting care provided.
Effective communication skills with nurses, families, and healthcare team members.
Understanding of infection control, safety, and emergency procedures.
Commitment to respecting residents' privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.

CNA preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
Help residents with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration as needed.
Monitor residents' physical and emotional well-being and report any changes to the nursing team.
Take and record vital signs when required.
Assist residents with transfers and ambulation using proper body mechanics and mobility equipment.
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment for residents.
Provide companionship and emotional support while encouraging social interaction and participation in activities.
Document care provided and communicate effectively with nurses, families, and other healthcare team members.
Follow infection control, safety, and emergency procedures in accordance with facility policies.
Respect residents' privacy, dignity, and confidentiality at all times.
