About The Position
Companions & Homemakers is seeking compassionate and dependable caregivers to provide non-medical home care to clients across Connecticut. This role involves following individualized Plans of Care, assisting with daily living activities, providing companionship, and documenting care. The agency has been a trusted name in home care for over 35 years, treating caregivers like family.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable vehicle
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Open availability preferred
Nice To Haves
- Experience as a Caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, or Companion is a plus
Responsibilities
- Provide non-medical home care following each client's individualized Plan of Care
- Transport clients to appointments and activities
- Help with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping
- Assist with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care
- Be a steady, caring presence — offering companionship and emotional support
- Document care and provide reminders as directed
