Requirements

Must obtain State Certification as a Nursing Assistant within specified time frame per offer letter.
Certification in Medication Technician, CPR, AED, and First Aid.
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English fluently.
Ability to meet or exceed the company’s attendance and punctuality standards.
Ability to use Electronic Records and miscellaneous software and office equipment.
Ability to understand and follow directions as given.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

1-2 years’ experience in a similar healthcare position preferred.

Responsibilities

Following the care plan as directed by supervising nurse.
Assisting with bathing and grooming, including shampooing hair, finger and toenail care, brushing teeth, and shower assistance.
Providing medication reminders to ensure medications are taken at the correct time as directed by the doctor.
Performing light housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean environment, such as making the bed and cleaning the bathroom and kitchen.
Transferring clients from chairs, toilet, bed, and to/from vehicles.
Assisting with toileting to ensure comfort and prevent infections.
Monitoring and reporting changes in client’s health that may require medical attention to the supervising nurse.
Providing companionship to residents.
Participating in and attending all scheduled in-service training and education programs.
Performing other duties as assigned.
