About The Position

The Chateau of Long Beach is an assisted living facility for the elderly community (ages 59+) located in Long Beach, CA. We are currently seeking compassionate and dependable Caregivers and Medication Technicians who have the passion to help the elderly and enjoy working in a fast paced environment. We are willing to train, no experience required! Schedule Needed: PM Shifts: 2pm-1030pm and NOC Shifts: 10pm-630am (Tues-Sat).

Requirements

Able to pass DOJ FBI live scan criminal background clearance mandated by licensing
Able to pass pre employment physical and TB test clearance
High school diploma or GED required

Nice To Haves

Experience in caregiving and medical administration preferred

Responsibilities

Assists with daily assignments, ensuring completion in assistance with resident Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
Provide ethical and respectful care to residents.
Progressive documentation and communication with physician and /or medical professional.
Scheduling of resident doctor’s appointments.
Ensure that residents stay stress-free as much as possible by working with medical professionals in regards to reducing of pain while promoting engagement and independence.
Maintains good composure during emergencies and maintains a safe work environment
Communicates clearly, calmly and effectively with residents, families and Wellness Coordinator with any changes or resident concerns
Complete any outstanding paperwork for the day including filing, logging medication and centrally stored record
Additional duties as assigned by Administration
