Caregiver + Med Techs - Assisted Living
About The Position
Laurel Parc is seeking dedicated Caregivers and Med Techs to support older adult residents in an assisted living community at Bethany Village in Portland, Oregon. The care team provides genuine, quality assistance tailored to residents’ individual service plans and helps them maintain comfortable, active, and fulfilling lives. The role includes day, swing, and overnight shifts, with part-time and on-call opportunities also mentioned. Employees must be able to work weekends; the schedule may follow a four-days-on, two-days-off rotation. The position pays $21.00–$21.50 per hour for caregivers and $22.50–$23.00 per hour for Med Techs, based on experience. The employer provides pre-employment training during onboarding and CPR/First Aid training. Requirements
- Passion for working with seniors.
- At least six months of experience.
- Obtain current CPR/First Aid training; training is employer-provided.
- Obtain an Oregon Food Handlers Permit.
- Ability to work weekends and some schedule flexibility.
- Basic ability to use computer and smartphone applications for training and company systems.
- Ability to comprehend written work orders, safety rules, instructions, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to speak and communicate effectively with clients, coworkers, and management.

- Caregiver experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide general attention to residents’ needs.
- Document each resident’s Activities of Daily Living.
- Provide companionship and observe residents to help ensure safety, reporting changes in condition.
- Complete light housekeeping tasks, including making beds and assisting with personal laundry.
- Assist residents with showers, toileting, dressing, oral and hair care, transfers, and other needs according to individual service plans.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding residents and their care.
- Maintain punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.
- Communicate effectively and remain calm and courteous under pressure.
