About The Position

United Home Care is a licensed, bonded, and insured home care agency providing personalized, non-medical in-home support for older adults. Our work is centered on helping clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent while receiving compassionate care tailored to their individual needs. We support older adults with companionship, daily living assistance, and specialized care for conditions such as dementia and Parkinson’s. In this role, you will provide meaningful one-on-one support that helps clients maintain their dignity, independence, and quality of life. This is an opportunity for a compassionate, dependable caregiver to build trusted relationships with clients and families while delivering thoughtful, person-centered care in the home.

Requirements

At least 1 year of professional caregiving experience.
Experience assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and toileting; experience with transfers and mobility assistance is a plus.
Experience caring for seniors with dementia or Alzheimer's disease is highly preferred.
Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and auto insurance for client transportation and errands.
Able to meet California Home Care Aide (HCA) requirements.
Current TB clearance; current CPR certification or willingness to obtain is a plus.
Ability to lift, transfer, and assist clients safely while following proper body mechanics.
Flexibility to work weekend or overnight shifts as needed is a plus.
High school diploma.
Experience using common patient transfer and mobility-assistance equipment and techniques in professional caregiving settings.
Eligible to work in the United States.
Experience caring for clients with Parkinson's disease, providing hospice support, or supporting post-hospital recovery care is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide one-on-one, non-medical care to older adults in their homes.
Assist with daily activities and offer companionship.
Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care.
Prepare meals and give medication reminders.
Perform light housekeeping.
Provide transportation to appointments and errands.
Assist with mobility and transfers.
Support clients requiring specialized care, including dementia, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, hospice support, and use of mobility equipment such as gait belts and Hoyer lifts.
