As a Senior Helpers Caregiver, you make a lasting impact that betters the lives of our clients AND their families. Senior Helpers caregivers provide one-on-one personal care to help our clients remain safe and independent in their home. We are looking for professional and experienced male healthcare workers in the Cheyenne and surrounding area to provide personal care services to male clients who have a preference for same-sex caregivers. At Senior Helpers, our caregivers create daily moments of connection that help older adults stay safe, supported, and independent at home. As a Senior Helpers Caregiver, you’ll use your skills, empathy, and professionalism to deliver consistent, high-quality care that strengthens the lives of our clients and their families. We are seeking dependable, experienced caregivers who can confidently support clients throughout Cheyenne and the surrounding areas.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of professional caregiving experience.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Legal identification and authorization to work in the U.S.
• Reliable transportation and punctuality for scheduled shifts.
• Ability to use a smartphone for electronic scheduling, communication, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Initiate friendly, engaging conversations that make clients feel heard and valued.
• Participate in clients’ preferred activities—such as gardening, scrapbooking, or playing games—to encourage social engagement.
• Assist clients with walking, dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting, and other personal care tasks while maintaining their comfort and safety.
• Prepare simple, nutritious meals and support safe eating routines.
• Observe clients’ mobility, behavior, and physical or cognitive changes and report concerns promptly through our communication app.
• Follow care plans accurately and adjust your approach to meet each client's daily needs.
• Use the electronic caregiver mobile app to clock in/out, record completed tasks, and update client notes in a timely and detailed manner.
• Communicate clearly with families, supervisors, and team members to ensure continuity of care.
• Respond to schedule updates and care plan changes with professionalism and reliability.
• Provide safe assistance with bathing, mobility, transfers, positioning, toileting, grooming, oral hygiene, medication reminders, feeding, and dressing.
• Engage clients in conversation and recreation.
• Prepare light meals, perform light housekeeping, manage laundry, assist with shopping and errands, and provide incidental transportation.
• Help clients maintain an organized and comfortable home environment.
• Complete additional tasks assigned by the client or care team that support safe, successful aging in place.
