Part-Time Caregiver / HHA | Personal Care | Morning shift | Westside Cuyahoga
About The Position
BrightStar Care is seeking compassionate and dependable Caregivers and Home Health Aides (HHAs) to provide one-on-one care for clients in Eastside Cuyahoga County. This part-time position offers flexible hours, with available shifts from Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The role involves assisting clients with daily living activities, personal care, mobility, meal preparation, medication reminders, light housekeeping, and providing companionship. We are looking for individuals who enjoy building meaningful relationships and helping clients maintain their independence at home.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- At least one year of caregiving, home care, assisted living, or direct care experience preferred
- HHA, STNA, CNA, or Nursing Assistant training preferred
- Current CPR certification preferred
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray required
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently while maintaining client confidentiality
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Provide personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting assistance
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation
- Prepare meals and provide medication reminders
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Observe and report changes in client condition
- Follow each client's individualized plan of care
