Caregiver - HHA/PCA
About The Position
Alvita Care is seeking compassionate and experienced Home Health Aides (HHA) and Personal Care Aides (PCA) for 1:1 private duty, homecare, or facility bedside shifts in the Mount Sinai area, throughout Suffolk County. We offer flexible scheduling with shifts ranging from 6 to 12 hours. Work is per-diem, with options for part-time, full-time long-term, and short-term/fill-in hours. Alvita Care is a mission-driven Home Healthcare & Personal Care Agency with four branches and over 500 caregivers, providing In-Home Personal Care, Alzheimer's & Dementia Care, Palliative & Hospice Care, and Geriatric Care Management. We have earned The Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval and exclusively serve private-pay clients. All applicants will complete a phone screening and must successfully complete the Alvita Care onboarding process before accepting cases.
Requirements
- Certified New York State Home Health Aide (HHA) or Personal Care Aide (PCA) required
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Reliable, professional, and patient-centered
- Must maintain professionalism in all written and verbal communications
- Must have updated medicals/vaccinations or be willing to obtain them
- Completed drug screen or completed Habituation Form
- Must successfully complete the Alvita Care onboarding process before accepting cases
Nice To Haves
- Drivers are preferred
- Prior home care experience strongly preferred
