About The Position

HomeWell Care Services of NWI is seeking compassionate Caregivers to join their team and enhance the lives of seniors. This role involves one-on-one in-home care, providing non-medical services to allow seniors to age in place. The ideal candidate is committed to improving the quality of life for seniors with empathy, excellence, and integrity.

Requirements

Daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone
Pass a criminal background check (national and any required by the state)
Proof of current, negative, tuberculosis (TB) test
Must be physically able to perform the duties of this position, including the ability to lift, push and pull approximately 25lbs.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation in addition to proof of valid driver's license and valid automobile insurance
Ability to travel 15 miles for any scheduled shifts
A compassionate heart for older adults
Must possess excellent communication skills
Are mature, caring, punctual and reliable

Nice To Haves

No healthcare certification is required, but CNA, HHA, or 6 months plus caring for geriatric, chronically ill, or disabled persons preferred
Experience with Dementia and Alzheimer's care a plus

Responsibilities

Social companionship
Support with a variety of daily living tasks such as feeding and medication reminders, bathing/dressing and personal hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, light housekeeping, light cleaning, laundry and cooking/meal preparation
Transportation to appointments, errands and social outings
Standby assistance with transfers
Overnight safety assistance
