Caregiver / Direct Support Professional
About The Position
We are seeking reliable, detail-oriented Caregivers / Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Home Care Aides to join our team to provide dedicated, one-on-one safety oversight and personal care. The primary focus of this position is active monitoring, seizure safety response, and protocol implementation to ensure a safe, supportive living environment. The caregiver will also provide companionship and personal care assistance. If you have a calm demeanor under pressure, strong observational skills, and experience with neurological or seizure support, this is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a direct impact. We are providing 24/7 care in 3 shifts, AM, PM, and Overnight (NOC shift is an awake overnight).
Requirements
- Previous caregiver experience required
- Must register as a Home Care Aide with CDSS
- 18 years old and a High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of automobile insurance are required
- Ability to pass a live scan background check and drug screening
- CPR certification
- TB test or chest x-ray
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable attitude
Nice To Haves
- Experience with neurological or seizure support
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Help with light housekeeping and laundry
- Monitor and report changes in clients’ well-being or behavior
- Follow care plans and safety protocols
- Assist with medication reminders
- Provide transportation or accompany clients to appointments as needed
- Foster independence and promote social interaction
