About The Position

Open Arms & Franciscan Care Solutions (FCS) is seeking a compassionate, dependable caregiver to provide one-on-one care for a senior couple in our senior community in Wheeling, IL. This long-term opportunity is ideal for caregivers who are passionate about helping seniors remain safe, comfortable, and independent while building meaningful relationships.

Requirements

At least 1 year of professional caregiving experience preferred.
Experience assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs).
Comfortable performing one-person transfers using a gait belt.
Experience with mobility assistance and fall prevention.
Dementia or memory care experience is a plus.
Ability to prepare meals and perform light housekeeping.
Compassionate, dependable, patient, and professional.
Must be able to reliably commute to Wheeling, IL for scheduled shifts.
Ability to maintain a consistent and dependable work schedule.
Reliable transportation preferred.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, one-on-one care for a senior couple.
Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
Safely assist with one-person transfers using a gait belt.
Support mobility and implement fall prevention techniques.
Provide companionship and emotional support.
Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed.
Perform light housekeeping to maintain a clean and comfortable living environment.
Observe and report changes in the clients' condition.
Follow individualized care plans while promoting each client's dignity and independence.
