About The Position
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated San Antonio Caregiver/CNA to join our team at Senior Helpers - Greater San Antonio. This role involves providing high-quality in-home care to seniors, helping them maintain their independence and enhancing their quality of life. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of formal caregiving experience and a genuine passion for supporting elderly clients in the comfort of their own homes.
Requirements
- Minimum one year of formal caregiving experience
- Valid CNA certification preferred
- Ability to pass background checks and drug screening
- Reliable transportation and within commuting distance of San Antonio, TX
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Compassionate, patient, and attentive to the needs of seniors
- Basic understanding of healthcare and safety protocols
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Administer medications as directed and monitor client health conditions
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding if necessary
- Maintain a safe and clean living environment for clients
- Communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals regarding client care and progress
- Document daily care activities and report any changes in client condition promptly
