About The Position

Overture Home Care is seeking flexible caregivers to provide one-on-one care to seniors in clients’ homes and facilities in the South Dallas area, including Waxahachie, Red Oak, DeSoto, Lancaster, and surrounding areas. Caregivers must work on an hourly basis and at least one shift per week. The role requires frequent travel, including driving up to 25 miles to shifts. Services may be provided in a client’s home, hospital, rehabilitation facility, or assisted living setting. The listed pay is $16.00–$18.00 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal forms.
• A love for the senior community.
• Compassionate and upbeat attitude.
• Strong commitment to reliability and ethical behavior.
• Ability to bend, climb, stoop, and stand an average of five hours per day.
• Ability to lift 20–30 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license or state ID.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be willing to maintain skills through continued education.
• Must pass a background check and drug testing per company standards.
• Must be willing to work on an hourly basis and at least one shift per week.
• Must be willing to drive up to 25 miles to shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on care, which may include bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, personal hygiene, light housekeeping, meal preparation, laundry, linen changes, transportation, errands, and other reasonable assigned duties.
• Transfer clients using gait belts, Hoyer lifts, and proper body mechanics.
• For certain cases, assist with medication administration, G-tube feedings, tracheostomy care, wound care, and other services under RN supervision.
• Read each client’s care plan and assessments and provide consistent, quality care based on the plan.
• Follow company policies, including those regarding dress code, time off, and call-outs.
• Clock in and out for every shift using the appropriate systems associated with the client or clients being served.
• Observe clients for changes in behavior or health and notify appropriate company personnel when necessary.
