About The Position
Amada Senior Care is actively hiring dedicated caregivers in Texas City, Texas. This role involves providing non-medical, in-home support to help clients feel safe, comfortable, respected, and independent in their own homes. The work is meaningful and offers opportunities for connection and fulfillment. Caregivers are essential to helping seniors and veterans live safely, comfortably, and independently.
Requirements
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to pass background checks and drug screening
- Must have 2 years of caregiving experience
- Willingness to work with both male and female clients
- Must be willing to travel within a 20–25-mile radius
- Compassionate, dependable, and professional attitude
Nice To Haves
- Hands-on experience using a Hoyer lift and gait belt
Responsibilities
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Assisting with personal care, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming
- Providing medication reminders
- Assisting with mobility, errands, and appointments
- Preparing meals and assisting with light housekeeping
- Observing and reporting changes in condition
- Encouraging independence and participation in daily activities
